arly Career as Safari Guide Alex’s journey in the safari industry began over 15 years ago as a young guide leading game drives and walking safaris in some of East Africa’s most iconic national parks and private concessions. After college, he was hired as a trainee guide at one of the high end lodges in Northern Serengeti, a luxury Lodge situated in the heart of the Masai Mara. Alex led twice-daily game drives into the reserve, guiding guests on the search for the Big 5 and other wildlife. He quickly became known for his deep knowledge of the animals, his passion for conservation, and his ability to deliver top-notch client experiences. After over 15 years of experience guiding safaris and managing a luxury safari camp, Alex was ready to start his own company.
He founded Flygeyways Safari in 2018 with the goal of providing personalized, high-end safari experiences to guests seeking a true adventure. Alex started Flygeyways because he wanted the freedom to hand-craft bespoke itineraries based on clients’ interests, budgets, and timeframes. He focuses on luxury mobile tented camps in Kenya’s, Rwanda and Tanzania.
Flygeyways offers 2-12 night safaris with stays at intimate, exclusive camps away from the crowds. Guests have their own private 4×4 vehicle, spotter, and Alex as their guide on every drive.
No two Flygeyways safaris are ever the same, as Alex gets to know each guest and designs their experience accordingly. Safaris may focus on the Great Migration, big cats, diverse birding, or simply taking in the vast landscapes and cultures.
With Alex’s passion for sharing the Africa he knows and loves, Flygeyways delivers personalized, meaningful adventures.

As both a seasoned guide and manager in the safari industry, Alex recognized the need for a company that went beyond just game drives and luxury lodging. At the heart of Flygeyways is Alex’s dedication to providing guests with a deep understanding of the natural world through highly educational and interpretive game drives led by expert driver-guides. Alex also prioritizes partnering with and supporting communities situated near the wildlife areas and reserves where Flygeyways operates. A portion of profits goes towards community development projects focused on health, education and environmental sustainability.
Flygeyways aims to run safaris that benefit both animals and local people. Guest safety and responsible environmental practices are also key tenets of Flygeyways’ approach. Alex insists that both travelers and guides follow strict safety protocols out in the bush. He also works to minimize the company’s ecological footprint by utilizing eco-conscious lodging, avoiding waste, and offsetting carbon emissions.
By combining Alex’s decades of on-the-ground experience with sustainable practices and community engagement, Flygeyways seeks to provide an enlightening, eco-friendly, and socially conscious safari experience unlike any other company.
