BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

To confirm a booking, Jambo Adventure requires a 30% non-refundable deposit. Refunds are only possible if we are unable to accommodate the tour as per the confirmed itinerary. A booking is considered confirmed only after the deposit has been received, and clients are required to send the bank slip as proof of payment. The remaining balance must be paid three months before the tour starts. For payments involving bank transfers, please ensure all international bank charges are covered so that Jambo Adventure receives the full amount.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations must be made in writing; email is acceptable. All deposits are non-refundable except if the cancellation is initiated by Jambo Adventure. In cases where clients postpone their trip after a deposit has been received, the deposit will be transferred to the next travel date within a twelve-month period. Please note that Jambo Adventure is not responsible for any policy changes made by accommodations and airlines, and will apply these changes as necessary.

CHANGE BOOKING

After a booking is confirmed, Jambo Adventure is willing to accommodate any changes requested by clients, provided these requests are made at least three months before the trip, at no extra charge. Changes made two months before departure will incur a fee of 3% of the deposit paid per tour. However, Jambo Adventure will not be responsible for any penalties from accommodations and airlines resulting from these changes.

INSURANCE

Jambo Adventure requires clients to have travel insurance appropriate to the nature of their tour. The insurance should cover incidents such as medical expenses, repatriation expenses, and damage or loss of personal belongings (e.g., cameras, money, bags, binoculars), but is not limited to these incidents. Once a booking is confirmed, Jambo Adventure will send a form for clients to fill out with their insurance details, which must be returned before the tour. We can organize an evacuation scheme with AMREF Flying Doctors for $10 per person, covering evacuation to Tanzania or Kenya, depending on the client’s case. Jambo Adventure will not cover any medical expenses.

LIABILITY

Jambo Adventure acts as an agent for hotels, lodges, airlines, and other facilities provided by these parties. We will not be held responsible for delays, damage, loss, injury, accidents, or changes in itineraries that may occur due to the negligence of any individual party entrusted with such services. Clients are responsible for taking care of their belongings at all times during these activities.
